Who says the Stinger cars don't put on a show??? Fans at South Mississippi Speedway saw one of the little 4 cylinder cars do an "end over end" flip they could hardly believe July 12th. The Cajun Sprinters, making their 3rd appearance of the year at SMS, were the featured event of the night. Get all the night's races on DVD by clicking the BUY NOW button below.

The Cajun Sprinters Association fielded 21 cars at South Mississippi Speedway on June 7th, and to the delight of the fans, put on another exciting sprint car show. On lap 21, with just 4 laps remaining in the feature race, Darrel Bond got into the retaining wall in turn 2, spun violently, coming to rest outside the rail. After what seemed like a very long wait, track announcer Mike Morel gave the crowd the good news....that Bond was OK. Watch the action by clicking on the picture. The crate late models got their long awaited 2008 start at South Mississippi Speedway Saturday night, May 31st. 14 cars lined up for the start of the feature race, but, anxious to get ahead early in the race, they bounced off each other going through turns 1 and 2, then several of them raced 4 abreast down the back straightaway. There are FIVE cars (count 'em) in that picture going down the back stretch! Not able to maintain control in turn 4, the melee finally brought out the first caution. No less than 4 of the cars did not continue when the race was restarted. The large crowd on hand enjoyed a superb exhibition of crate late model racing and a number of the drivers said they definitely planned to return. The track is currently alternating the crates with the pro stock class. Watch the start of the race by clicking on the picture above. DVDs of the complete racing program will be available at SMS in the McKenzie Racing Collectibles trailer. They may also be ordered online via the BUY NOW button below.
